Welcome to Bluepau American Shorthairs! We started out showing Premiers (altered cats) in CFA with success and have recently moved into a small American Shorthair breeding program of our own. We are registered with both CFA as well as TICA. We have learned a lot from our breeding mentors and continue to learn about the health of the breed as well as genetics. We strive to breed toward the CFA/TICA standards, but give healthy cats with good temperaments equal focus. We do not breed to bloodlines known to contain evidence of current hybridization. Pedigrees are researched to avoid current integration of other breeds such as the Persian, Exotic and Burmese. We feel this is necessary not only to maintain type for the breed, but to strive to maintain the original, healthy American Shorthair. We breed for the Classic Silver Tabby, but may have a brown tabby or blue tabby at times.
We are located in Northeastern Oklahoma in what is known as beautiful Green Country. Our home is on ten green acres and our cats are indoors with the family. Thank you for visiting our site!
